{"id":1533,"date":"2020-07-15T08:23:09","date_gmt":"2020-07-15T08:23:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.zillionsbuyer.com\/blog\/?p=1533"},"modified":"2020-07-15T08:23:13","modified_gmt":"2020-07-15T08:23:13","slug":"what-is-the-specific-gravity-of-concrete","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.zillionsbuyer.com\/blog\/what-is-the-specific-gravity-of-concrete\/","title":{"rendered":"What is the Specific gravity of concrete"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1) Specific Gravity:- Following procedure\nis adopted for finding the specific gravity of aggregates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;(a)\nAbout 2 kg aggregate sample is taken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(b) It is washed thoroughly, placed in wire\nbasket and immersed in distilled water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(C) Entrapped air is removed from sample.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(d) Sample with wire basket are kept in\nwater for 24 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(e) Combine weight in water is taken (A1).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(f) Aggregate is taken out and gently dried\nwith the cloth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(g) Empty basket is weighed in water (A2).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(h) Aggregate is weighed in air (B).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(i) Aggregate is kept in oven at 100 to\n110\u00b0C temperature for about 24 hrs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(j) Then cooled in air tight container and\nweighed (C).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" src=\"https:\/\/www.zillionsbuyer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/What-is-the-Specific-gravity-of-concrete.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1534\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Specific gravity=C\/(B-A)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">where A =A1-A2<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1) Specific Gravity:- Following procedure is adopted for finding the specific gravity of aggregates. &nbsp;(a) About 2 kg aggregate sample is taken.
