In\nhot weather concreting following properties of concrete and problems must be\nkept in mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(i) Rapid rate of hydration of cement,\nquick setting and Carly stiffening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(ii) Rapid evaporation of mixing water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(iii) Greater plastic shrinkage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(iv) Less time for finishing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(v) Reduced relative humidity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(vi) Absorption of water from the concrete\nby the subgrade and form work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(vii) Difficulty in continuous and\nuninterrupted curing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(viii) Difficulty in incorporation of air\nentrainment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The effect of above discussed points should\nbe fully identified and care must be taken to make the concrete strong and\ndurable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Precautions:<\/strong> (1) The temperature of the ingredients of concrete should be kept\nas low as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(2) Aggregates should be stockpiled in\nshade and sprinkled with water<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;(3)\nTemperature of mixing water should be kept as low as possible.
