This transfers the electrical energy from\nprimary side to the secondary side (circuit) of the transformer.<\/li><li>The working principle of <strong>induction<\/strong>\nfurnace is similar to the eddy current loss in transformer.<\/li><li>This loss is dissipated in the form of heat in the\ntransformer cores. If such a loss in the form of heat is utilized in heating of\nmaterials, then it will be useful to heat up the charge.<\/li><li>When alternating current flows in a conductor, it produces\nreversing magnetic field.<\/li><li>If any coil is placed in this reversing magnetic field, an\nemf will induce in it. Similar to the emf induced in the secondary of a\ntransformer.<\/li><li>This transfer of electric energy from primary winding to the\nsecondary winding by electromagnetic <strong>induction<\/strong>\nis utilized to form the heat.<\/li><li>The heat developed in the charge mainly depends on the\nfollowing factors:<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(i)The power drawn by the charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(il) Supply voltage and current<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(iii) The resistance of the charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The power depends upon the voltage, power frequency and the\nresistance of the charge, power<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">drawn is equal to V<sup>2<\/sup>\/R<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Therefore, to develop sufficient amount of heat for one litre\nof the charge,<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1)Resistance of the charge must be low which s possible only\nwith metal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2)Voltage must be higher which is obtained by employing\nhigher flux and higher frequency<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The induction heating works on the principle of transformer action.
