The JS-V Transformer Tan Delta Tester is an advanced electrical testing instrument designed to evaluate the insulation condition of high-voltage electrical equipment by measuring dielectric loss (tan delta) and capacitance. It helps identify insulation deterioration, moisture absorption, and potential defects in transformers, current transformers, voltage transformers, reactors, capacitors, bushings, and lightning arresters. Widely used in electrical manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and preventive maintenance, the instrument integrates a dielectric loss measurement bridge, variable-frequency voltage regulation system, step-up transformer, and high-stability SF6 reference capacitor into a compact unit. Its internal inverter generates the test voltage, which is boosted by the built-in transformer and applied to the test object. The tester supports multiple test frequencies, including 50Hz, 47.5Hz/52.5Hz, 45Hz/55Hz, 60Hz, 57.5Hz/62.5Hz, and 55Hz/65Hz, helping minimize interference from external power-frequency electric fields and improve measurement accuracy. The JS-V Tan Delta Tester is equipped with a large touchscreen LCD that provides a user-friendly operating experience, allowing users to complete testing procedures through simple on-screen operations with minimal training. It offers high-capacity data storage, supporting up to 200 test records that are automatically organized chronologically for easy retrieval, review, and printing. Test data can also be exported through a USB drive and accessed or managed on any computer. The instrument supports multiple testing modes, including internal high-voltage testing, external high-voltage testing, internal and external standard capacitor methods, positive connection, reverse connection, and self-excitation methods. It also enables dielectric loss measurements above 10 kV when used with an external high-voltage standard capacitor. For Capacitor Voltage Transformer (CVT) testing, the instrument measures the dielectric loss and capacitance of both C1 and C2 simultaneously, as well as the transformation ratio and voltage angle difference. Its specialized testing function allows CVT measurements without disconnecting the high-voltage cable. Additionally, the reverse-connection shielding method enables accurate measurement of the upper C0 capacitance and dielectric loss values. The tester uses digitally controlled inverter and sampling circuits with continuously adjustable output voltage to ensure stable and precise measurements. Its automatic LCR measurement function displays inductance, capacitance, resistance, and phase angle values.
